Using my Surveillance camera to feed a small screen by front door

As the subject says, I was wondering if it's possible to use the feed from the camera by my front door to not only feed back to my NVR via CAT6 cable as normal, but also feed the image to a small lcd screen by my front door, like a giant peephole on the wall.
The camera does have BNC output used for testing/set-up. What say you guys?

You should be able to. The pictures don't show the output but under specs, it states it has CVBS/Composite for Video Output. CVBS (analog signal) can mean BNC (Type of connector).

U can just connect the BNC to your monitor if it has one. If it doesnt, u can get a adaptor to RCA. RCA is the analog cables on older tvs with red yellow white lines (Only yellow is video, others are audio).

Thanks blued, I'll def test it when I install it in the next couple of weeks. Any suggestions on small LCD screens with a bezel I can flush mount in the wall?

maybe get a cheap android tablet and mount that to the wall.
then connect to your wifi and use the streaming app for the nvr.

Yeah I agree, there are so many 2nd hand tablets out there selling for the same price as most LCD screens, you can setup a tablet that can potentially have more features such as screen captures, alarms or control for other gadgets such as lights or an intercom. Not to mention that you can take the WiFi tablet and move it to your workplace to keep an eye on the door, etc.

OP- Nice camera. I've got several similar cameras, and I am also looking for a similar solution. I would like to be able to view the cameras on the main TV so that if the door bell goes off, I can quickly take a look to see who is there. So far, I haven't had much luck with solutions. I've tried a mini-PC connected to the main TV, but that solution had intermittent failures when the mini-PC would lose the connection to my wifi. Tagged for more solutions.

Hey Prop. I basically want to use the screen as an at a glance peep hole so to speak. I was thinking of using the motion alarm output from the NVR to switch power to the screen in the wall and voila. It sounds like it may work, but we'll see.
It's been way to hot to crawl up in the house crawl space, so that's my first goal is getting all the wires ran.

                    MHShooter-

I know what you mean about the heat in the crawlspace. My roof has a shallow pitch, which means that it's a tight fit for me in the attic. That, and it's hotter than heck up there....I took the lazy man's route and ran my CAT6E wire under the eaves to a certain point outside the house, then routed them in through one of the attic vents. Made it easier for me, but doesn't look as nice. The wires are hardly noticeable, but I know that they are there.

I like the idea of using the motion to switch the power on and off....pretty slick. I may have to look at something like that for my setup....once I find a tablet that works. I don't have a NVR, but I'm using a DIY security PC running Blue Iris software. Lots of options.....

The idea of a video "peephole" is good but I prefer to not have to get up and go to the door. I access my camera's on my iPhone so I don't have to get up and let them know I am home with my foot steps. I can also watch them leave to see if they just walk away or if they appear to scope the place out.

Can you get to the camera via an IP address on your network. If you can I use EvoCam. You can use that on a computer to capture video on all cameras and also use Foscam on an iPhone/iPad/Android device to connect and show video.
