Not wireless, but I've been using a lorex system bought at costco. Started with the 8 cam system, just upgraded to a 16 channel dvr and added a couple more cams. Went wired because my backup camera in my truck often turns on while I'm driving down the street and I see random video feeds. I don't trust that others would not be able to view my cams if I had gone wireless. -
If you're into a DIY project, these cameras should serve you well. 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd choice.Originally posted by FjoldI've been married so long that I don't even look both ways when I cross the street.Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program.

Costco seems to have the best deals on camera systems. Cameras are nice but will only show you what's happend in the past, unless your watching the screen 24/7.
A good security system is something to consider if your worried about your house getting broken into.Comment

Pay extra for upgraded cameras and software. Otherwise you can't see a face clearly enough.May the Bridges I burn light the way.

If you get your house alarmed with ADT you can get cameras as part of the package.RIP Louis Awerbuck. I miss you and your training.Comment

i have the lorex wireless system with flir dvr. it's ok, easy install. i have 4 wireless and 2 wired. i had to return 1 camera due to wireless was really bad. i got it replaced after couple of weeks of back and forth with lorex. the dvr is compatible with any camera. i bought 2 domes as an addition - not lorex brand. it worked using the bnc connector. if you're good with wiring or have a cheap wiring guy, go with wired one. but if not, wireless is better than none. remember you still have the power that runs to the camera that you have to run wires on. you can setup for alarm notifications and stuff. mine is just running 24/7 since i have a house alarm and big dogs inside the house.
but you can setup alarm, like when your camera detects a motion it will record and send you email notification and a clip. but you can also view it live with your phone or computer. the dvr is hdmi connection. it's alright, a decent system not the best quality but it's better than nothing at all.Comment

I installed a wired system at my house, wasn't that hard if you have attic access.
I like it. Mainly though I like the fact you can't approach my house without seeing cameras everywhere....
