    iPhone lightening link

I was wondering what cable y'all have had luck with? I wear out OEM cables in 6 months or so.

    Thank you for the help.

OEM are the only decent ones.

Apple puts a chip in the cables to identify them. No other brand has quite the same code in there that Apple does, and the cables either don't work as well or all of a sudden get plugged in and are "not compatible" anymore.

I use a Belkin 4' cable I got at Target. Slightly heavier-duty than OEM and 4' is a good length for the car. I've never had any issues with it and it hasn't worn out yet.

I work for a major wireless carrier, if the OEM's are going out on you try the Belkin cable. We carry only those two and a generic one. The Apple cable tends to work great for most people, just need to take care to unplug it without yanking on the cable. Just grab it by the end (Just the Tip)

The generic brand we sell and the Belkin never seem to come back.

Next time buy a device that uses industry standard cables, and then just buy them anywhere, and on the cheap, no proprietary software required for data transfer/backup either (that runs like 4+ Win services).

I picked up some of the flat, less tangle cables from flea bay and a swap meet.
            About $4 for a 6' cable.

If your cables are wearing out, this is something I have not experienced.

Look for a seller with good feedback

And look at the extra battery cases- they are heavy but mine will give me 1 1/2 charges. I went with the power bank brand. Again about $20

The eBay ones suck they don't last very long and they seem to charge at a slower rate

The rubber cable shielding on OEM lightning cables suck. I've had several that break right next to the lightning adapter. The trouble with after market cables is that Apple kills them when they do a software update. I just watch WOOT.com for OEM cables. They sell them from time to time at 2 for $14. That is still expensive in my mind but much better than $19.99 each.

I do have a Belkin lightning dock that has survived all the Apple upgrades. They must use Apple sanctioned chips and not counterfeit ones.

I buy the cheapest MFI certified lightning cables I can from ebay and they work great and a long time.

be careful buying non apple cables
I have some 8 foot flat cables, lighting and standard connectors

both for sure worked fine last year but im pretty sure the last couple major os updates I now cant use them with the apple brand charger, or my computer usb charging them
they all instantly go to NOT CHARGING

my guess apple cables have some way to send a signal saying its an apple cable and will let them work
im not sure but im not buying any more china cables
whats the point when they refuse to charge the device
