Chrome just hosed my bookmarks manager!

I just tried to save a bookmark on Google Chrome and it works totally different.
    It looks totally different.

Looking up bookmarks seems to still work the same, but saving them is different.

    It sucks IMO.

Try saving a bookmark in Chrome and see if yours has changed too.

Edit: Manually pushed it to update and am now seeing what you are seeing. Agreed annoying!

Yep, when I try to bookmark this page your avitar pops up in a little window, before it was just a basic list of all the folders I had made. I just added a new folder with links 2 days ago and now totally different.

Don't you just love it when they change things so drastically without a warning?

I will figure it out, but why would a company kick the hornet's nest like that?

You know there are millions of people out there that will just lock up when they try to save the next link.

OK, click the box to the right of the star then hold the cursor over "Bookmarks" then the next window popes up to the left.... click "Book mark this page" like usual.

Then in the little window near the bottom it says "Bookmarks Bar", click the drop down arrow to the far right.

Then it has "Bookmarks Bar" again... Click the ">" arrow to the right and all your folders will pop up or you can add a new folder.

I stopped using chrome when it started keeping you logged in (for tracking you), and it then "SYNCed" my non-work-appropriate bookmarks to my work rig, just because I had logged in to my gmail account one time...

Now I just use Firefox (again, as I have been using it since early-beta), and only log into e-mail accounts via private window.
(I could have done that in Chrome, but Chrome really pissed me off.)

here is how to get rid of the new bookmark manager, step by step:

              1. Type "chrome://flags" in the address bar (without quotes)
EDIT: PRESS ENTER TO NAVIGATE TO THE URL YOU JUST ENTERED.
              2. Press CRTL+F to open the "Find in Page" dialog box and enter "bookmark" in search box (again without quotes).
              3. Press the down arrow in the search box until you get to the section titled:
Enable Enhanced Bookmarks Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, Android
Provides an off switch for: enhanced bookmarks experiment #enhanced-bookmarks-experiment
              4. In the drop-down, select "Disabled"
              5. At the bottom of your screen, click the "Relaunch Now" button.

The new Bookmark system is gone and the old one comes back.
You can go back and turn on the New system if you are a MetroFreak.

Now anybody know how to disable the annoying resize page feature that just pops up for no reason?

Seems the computer and the car companies are the same they add junk that only an idiot would buy.
California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.

I only use chrome for gmail, drive (all school related) and youtube (because my phone connects through it) and the occasional incognito mode . other than that Im not a fan of chrome. for some reason it generally moves slower than IE. I use IE religiously by the way, something about it just flows well for me.

I just found about this change today when I wanted to move a bookmark farther up the list and I clicked onto "Bookmarks Manager". All of the colored boxes. I hate it.

It took me a few minutes to figure it out, but I did get the bookmark moved up.

Not as easy as the old way.
