    Electronics components in Temecula area?

I can go to radio shack, but they have a crappy selection, and are really overpriced.

I can go to Fry's in San Marcos, and they have a better selection, but I waste a bunch of gas and time.

Anywhere local that has a great selection and decent prices on electronics components?

Of all the components, transformers seem to be the hardest to find. Radio Shack has none. I can't remember seeing them at Fry's.

Don't live by you but I have the same problems. I have resorted to just buying stuff online, sucks though if you just need one or two small things to finish a project up.

Online killed the local electronics stores.
Digkey and Mouser are your best bet. If you are looking for better deals check out vendors like Goldmine Electronics.

Yep. All the good electronics stores are gone around here.
Most of my parts these days come from Digikey, Mouser, or Allied.

God I miss the days of digging through piles of surplus parts at Mike Quinn Electronics...

There is an electronics shop on Diaz Rd. It's behind the Wiens brewery. Good selection of electronic parts and tools.

The capacitor plague required me to turn to Jameco, Mouser, eBay, Amazon, and such. No local shops EVER had what I needed. Radio Shack's site has been beneficial, sometimes, but usually not with shipping included...

The shop on/near Diaz never had anything close to what I asked for, and so I mainly turned to Jameco for exact replacements.

I went to the shop on Diaz. It's like electronics heaven compared to radio shack. Thanks for the location.

I work in the Temecula-area and haven't really found any place good. I need to check out Electro.

I usually just go to Electronics Supply Warehouse in Riverside http://www.electronicswarehouse.net/ when I need something and do not want to have to wait for an online order to arrive.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

If you're willing to drive, there is a place in Fullerton. It's called ORVAC. I haven't been there in years. Last I remeber they had some cool old school electronics there.

Just looked. They still are in business.
