Who's excited about Star Wars Battlefront 3?

Loved 1 and 2 on the 360. When the wife "upgraded" me I was sad to put them away. But it looks like we are back in business this winter!

Here's the googles page for the latest. Gameplay looks just like the old ones but that's okay.

The gameplay looked terrible. Same graphics as the last one. Some of the maps I thought looked just like the last game.

Are you sure you watched the right thing? Considering the teaser trailer was a cinematic using the in game engine (that looked way better than the past games) I'm not sure what exactly you watched.

I am excited about the game. In fact, it has moved up to my #1 game for this year. I just hope that the game play ends up looking anywhere near what they showed in the teaser trailer. I'm not getting too excited until I see some real gameplay vids. Though, from articles written by people who have gotten to see the actual game behind the scenes, everything I've seen has been pretty positive.

It's battlefield 4 with star wars skins.

No one played the first two for the SP modes. So that knock, I don't get. (and from what I have read there is going to be some sort of SP mode, called SBattlefront missions"). The space battles missing, I guess I could see though as long as they have air combat of the land bound battle areas, I'm not sure what difference it makes.

20 players max is just due to the consoles being platforms the game is being developed for. That's kind of how these MP games have gone since MP pew pew has become popular on consoles. This has been then trend for 10 or more years now.

In any case, it's been awhile since the last games have been out. That'll make SW Battlefront feel more fresh than all the other online MP options that are coming out every year, like COD, Halo, the battlefield games, etc.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

One guys opinion and he hasn't even played the game behind the scenes and it's going to be crap.

I'm no fan of EA and I used to like DICE much more before the BF4 launch fiasco, but come on.... it's too early to tell one way or the other whether the game is going to be crap or not.

I choose to remain cautiously optimistic because I'm bored of the CODs and Battlefields, and Halos and I think a SW shoot em up will be a nice change of pace.

We will see.

Regardless of a possibility of it being crap, I will still be handing over my money, being a fan of the first two Ballefronts.
