Hate to say it, but the Governor passed it from what I hear. Hope I am wrong, would be nice to punish criminals committing offenses rather than the law abiding citizen.Best Regards,

Unfortunately this silly pointless bill was signed into law by Schwarzenegger in 2007.
It will become enforced/active when the "technology" it relies on is actually developed.
It really is quite preposterous, but from a full time legislature who can't balance a damn budget, well, what do you expect?

Wow.... ever come across a really old thread posting a warning on how damning a piece of legislation in CA could be, realize how foreseeable it was, yet also sad to see how much of a lame and apathetic response to it that there had been at the time?
