Dros on Multiple on PPT Firearms

I was told that you can do PPT on a multiple handguns and pay only one time DROS. Does this also apply if you're doing PPT on a handgun and a long gun at the same time? I was told by lgs that NO. As of matter a fact he said that you can do multiple long guns but not hand guns.

I just Dros'ed three long guns and 4 pistols in one transaction - $35. Total bill was $60 since I had to get a FSC for the long guns. Find a good FFL that will do it right. I did mine at Direct Action Solutions in Solano Beach.

I also ordered an Aimpoint Pro that I will pick up at the end of the waiting period (this Saturday). Just pointing this out to those ffl's that don't like PPT. I've spent quite a bit with DAS over the last 2 years because they always are willing to handle my transfers. Even this one with 7 different firearms. In and out in about an hour.

Many FFL's don't understand this or choose not to. I was charged a full $35 per long gun on a multiple long gun PPT last year. I just let it go as it went smoothly besides that. Plus I totally screwed the FFL on some ammo he priced way too low. It was an AR oriented shop and I could tell he got the ammo for free.

If he wasn't willing to research what the ammo was truly worth (old obscure western calibers) and was willing to take advantage of me I was willing to take advantage of him. Probably should be happy I was willing to pay for the ammo the stuff would have sat there for years.

You should be paying $35 for the first firearm. $10 for each additional one. These can be long guns, handguns, or any combination you would like.

Turners DROS'd one Handgun and one Long gun together and only charged me for one DROS fee of $35.

In fact I didn't know you can, one of the salesman told me I can wait a couple more days for my 1 in 30 day to be up so I won't have to do two separate DROS's

You can DROS Handguns and long guns at the same time. They can be PPT, from dealer inventory or a mixture of both. You only pay one DROS.

I have bought pistols from two different private sellers (PPT), a pistol from dealer inventory, and a rifle from dealer inventory all on one DROS. Just remember that each PPT firearm also adds a $10 fee to the transaction.

I regularly buy pistols and long guns on one DROS, and I regularly buy multiple PPT guns on one DROS and often from different sellers. I am all about maximizing a DROS fee.

Clearly the salesperson doesn't know what he is talking about. Or maybe the ffl just doesn't like ppt like op said. He wanted me to pay 2 dros and 2 transfer fees. I understand the fees but not the dros.

Wrong forum. This should be posted on ffl forum . Kemasa should chime in on this or librarian.

Can someone tell me if this is still (2019) what I should expect for a multiple ppt?
