    I shoot 3 RIA 1911's.

    .45 tactical
    9mm commander
    .45/.22 combo

    I've only had issues with the 9mm, but I think I have solved them by installing a Wilson extractor.

      Why didn't you just send it in for warranty? They would have sent it back working flawlessly.

        OP, too bad you aren't in SoCal as Turner's has a SA 1911 in stainless as their "Off the Hook Special" tomorrow only for $680.

          I held the RIA tac and then held the SA mil spec when I was shopping around. Went with the Springfield and have been pleased. My front sight came loose after 150 rounds though, had to ship the slide back but they had it back to me within two weeks.
