A few pics from today's BRI shoot

Here's a few from today's Burro shoot. We improvised a little with a few shotgun stages. Calguns member 45R came down from Norcal to come shoot with us! It was great shooting with you!

Andy's bright idea of a stage

Gotta love all the muzzle blast on the white panels

Are the orange dots no-shoot targets?

            More-or-less.

LOL. Does the one with USPS logo on it supposed to be the one where shooter goes postal and shoot the white one down?

And I would not have known it was Patty if it weren't for...

Sorry I missed it; looked like fun. How did the new guys do and how was the shotgunning?

I thought the new guys did well: Kenny took to it pretty quick and got solid hits. Looks like BRI may have whet his appetite for run n' gun shooting. Vu's friend looked like he had a good time as well. Nelson simply has too many BG classes under his belt to be considered a noob. Old hand, more like. Oh, and Eric, our perennial "new guy," actually beat Nelson in a mano-a-mano BP challenge. (Nelson pulled a Black Majik trick and forgot to load his mags, but you wouldn't know it hearing how Eric's gonna tell it. )

I thought the shotgun stages were a success. The sticks/clays combo actually performed better than expected, BP's held up surprisingly well to birdshot, and shotgun transitions were made simple w/ a strategically-placed folding table. Stages themselves were well thought out and fun. (Thanks, Vu!) Nothing like shooting your shottie in a "stress" situation to find out what works and what doesn't!

Speaking of stages, Andy's stage was downright diabolical. Phil's "****!" expression pretty much says it all. Fortunately, I was able to see nine out of ten targets from basically one position and only had to shift for the last one. That meant squeezing shots between VERY narrow gaps, however. A very clever stage and prop. Will probably use that prop in a "SUPER Super Six Four" stage in the future.

It's probably a good thing we ended it early. I was pretty beat afterwards. Good times, as always.

ETA: Pattie's BP Challenge performance was a thing of beauty. I haven't the words...okay maybe two: Knob Creek.

LOL, I felt like the tortoise vs. the hare on that one. I look over and Patty's mag dumping, so I stop and laugh along with him, then I start hearing everyone cheering as he starts to shoot for real knockin' all his pins down.

That was a real close one. Good run Patrick.
