    "Chris Kyle wasn't a hero, he was a psychopathic murderer!"

    Just heard this from a typical anti-gun, Bill Maher liberal. Being familiar with this particular individual's hoplophobic views, I asked them, "why are you blaming Chris Kyle for killing people in Iraq, and not his rifle?" Immediate end of discussion.

    I just wanted to share what seems to be a very potent means of shutting these people up. You can't blame inanimate objects for gun deaths on the domestic front, then dismiss your own "logic" when it suits your agenda to dishonor a decorated combat veteran for his actions in a war zone.

    Good for you. I use that one often myself. Every time I hear an American judging or criticizing veterans like that, all I can think about is this line from A Few Good Men:

    Col. Jessup: "I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post."

      I haven't seen American Sniper yet. Was it good as Lone Survivor?

      Thinking about watching it this weekend.

        Well quite obviously by the military giving him a gun.....the magic power of that gun transformed him into a murderer......because everyone with a gun is a murderer......right?

          Yes....it was good....but for totally different reasons. American Sniper is not just a shoot 'em up war movie. That's not what it's about.

                    Much better, in my opinion. The plot is well acted. I am always a huge fan of Clint Eastwood's work.

                            I hate to say it but I cant stand the "defending our freedom" argument. Chris kyle was put in a tough situation and he did well at his job. People seem to forget that we lost freedom because of those wars.
