    vacation in Oregon

I know this is Cal Guns but I am going to move to Oregon so I am up here looking around for where we are going to call home next.. This place is great for guns! They have everything you could want here and CCW is easy to get.. As soon as I move up here I will be selling all Ca registered handguns and buying others to replace them.

I was looking at a rifle in Oxnard in 308 for 699.00 and found the same rifle here for 389.00 and no sales tax! I cant wait to make the move... Just need a place big enough to do my casting and reloading

Lord, make me fast and accurate, let my aim be true and my hand faster than those who seek to destroy me, grant me victory over my foes and those that wish to do harm to me and mine, let not my last thought be - 'If I only had my gun'- and Lord if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in a pile of warm brass,
    Amen

Excellent idea! You'll love Oregon. Cabbalas in Springfield is a great place to shop.

Get involved in the pro-gun movements in OR.

Oregon is next up on the Bloomberg "universal background check" train.
They figure with that with the large liberal progressive population in the Portland area they can win the entire State (similar to how SF Bay area and LA area control CA).

So, get involved or else it will turn into another version of CA.

Welcome to Oregon. When you get here, you're going to like the gun culture and friendliness of people. You can go to the local grocery store and walk out with a dozen eggs, a gallon of milk and a Glock 42 from the gun counter in the back of the store!

Here in the South-West part of the State, you won't see gangs, graffiti or gridlock. Your quality of life will go up and you'll wonder why you didn't move sooner. I stayed in California as long as I could but finally, my wife and I just couldn't take it anymore. We have no regrets.

Like others have said, the anti's have their eyes set on Oregon for conquest so we'll have to stay alert and defeat them as we have in the past. The more conservative minded political-economic refugees from out of state we get, the better to fight Bloomberg this year who would like to bring the same gun law insanity to Oregon as he did to Washington State last year.

Have you secured a job yet? We (wife and I) have been looking for 8 months now, and nada...we're looking in the Seattle, WA and Portland areas...we're packed and ready to leave this place!

          Success to ya!

What area are you looking at? I plan to retire in 5 years to the Bend area. We have been vacationing there since 2008. Love it. Wish I could leave now. Good luck with your search.

The BEST part about Oregon is that slower traffic moves over for you to pass.

Don't take it for granted that guns in Oregon will always be what they are. From, some of my friends in Oregon, they say the sitting 4 term Governor, has made comments about guns, gun control in Oregon. Bloomberg worked on Wash state, and made some inroads there with gun laws. He spent 600,000 of his own money to help change gun laws in Wash state. Now, they say, he's zeroing in on Oregon.

Paisley ... or maybe Plush! Yeah, Plush! The true Garden Spot - best in all of Oregon.

People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

                        Can't comment on Bend.

Eagle Point is a small city (8500 people) 8 miles up highway 62 (the road to Crater Lake) from Medford. There are lots of recreational opportunities in the area. If you're older, there are two large hospitals in Medford.

Weather; Winter drops into the high 20s low 30s, Summer into the mid 90s, rains about 25 inches a year.

Culture & entertainment; Ashland (15 miles south of Medford) has a university and the Shakespeare Festival; there is a local drag strip/race complex if that rings your bell (it does mine)

We bought a 3/2 1750 sq ft home in the Eagle Point Golf Course for $250k,,, $850+ here in the East Bay.

We're relocating in Spring of 2016.

Been through Plush a few years back. Not a lot there except sage and rock. But a beautiful place non the less. Wide open. And oh yeah go dig some of them Oregon Sun Stone. Find the red ones.

If the op has the dangerous very unsafe nonapproved now illegal to purchase new by lowly peasants, he can sell them to others here to keep these scary unsafe guns as a stick it to the sheman and pretty much say f---u and ur kommunist idealist dreams. And also to give others here a chance to own one if they didnt get one before the darkness fell. This is what imma do if i ever get outta here
