A fellow calgunner is selling a handgun. I post, I'll take it and pm him if we can do transfer Monday or early next week. I have cash in hand it's just time. This guy PM's me back asking for more money because there's other people interested.
Not cool and I don't if this is normal or tolerated?

Isn't why peopel selling have to put amount selling items for. This isn't an auction site. Unless that's changed.

He's got other buyers interested in paying the same price as you but you want him to hold off on the sale so you can buy it, and you want him to do that for free?

i dont think the guy is obligated to sell it to you just because you said "ill take it".
He can sell it to whom ever he wants.

Leave him negative feedback. Thats all you can do.

If you offered a price and he accepted, you have a contract. If he breaches the contract you haven't suffered any losses so its hard to sue, so just leave negative feedback.

Yup, leave negative feedback. It's pretty crappy to advertise something for one price, then suddenly jack it up under threat of not selling it.

i dont think negative feedback would be warranted here. if the guy said SOLD TO XXXX then flakes on showing or when you go to meet him he hits you with this then yea but the way you described it would not warrant negative itrader imo
