    digital muffs for elephant ears?

    hi guys,

i have been looking into a good pair of digital ear muffs lately but they are proving to be difficult to find.

a few months ago, i picked up a pair of howard leight "impact sport' model digi muffs. i was relatively new to the whole digital scene so i thought i would start with a simple pair that was affordable to see how i liked them.

when i first put them on they felt great and worked even better. i was thoroughly impressed. but every time i would move my head, to the extreme left or right, i could hear sounds getting through my earmuffs. the cups are not deep at all, and they do not allow my ears to sit all the way in for a proper seal. using them with sunglasses is even worse and pretty much renders them useless unless first "doubling up" with the foamies..

so i am wondering, with a budget of about 150 to 200 dollars, where should i start looking? caldwell, peltor? i dont want cheap and i dont want flimsy, i want something good that will fit my head and allow me to use my SI M Frames at the range

Earmuffs are not designed to be used with regular eyeglass frames. In the Navy they used to issue eyeglasses with rubber bands that went around the head for use with ear muffs and forced air breathing masks.
