Depending on if the guy had prior knowledge that he would get denied. "Oh you have a felony? 10% fee."

You and the buyer entered into an agreement. You exchanged goods for money. He cannot take possession of the goods so you now have the goods and the money.

Give the man his money back.

Money back less any cost incurred by the seller in the transaction, e.g. fuel costs back and forth.

First the last thread was lacking a little info.
If it was a DMV denial then get your gun back. When the seller gets DMV fixed return to the FFL and re DROS. The buyer is responsible for DROS fees and Travel fees of the buyer.

If he is a truly prohibited person then get the gun back. Return all money except for time and travel fees for having to return to the FFL to get the firearm. Buyer waits until the firearm is resold to a non prohibited buyer before getting paid.

You don't have the option of leaving the gun at the FFL. If the buyer fails a background check the gun is to be immediately returned to the seller. If the seller wont pick it up the gun has to be turned over to the police.
You, you, and you: Panic. The rest of you, come with me.
Incoming fire has the right of way.

Actually, I find these threads to be quite useful, as they always reveal a few people that I know I never want to do any business with.

Seller should Keep the money and let the buyer deal with the FFL.
It’s SOLD, not the sellers problem anymore.

IF its some other unforseen issue...
The seller could return the money and get gun back.

I think the best part about it is that people think they know what they will do until it happens to them. Then its a different story

If I had to have it DROS'ed back to me the "buyer" would be paying for that out of the refund as well as fuel if I had to travel more than a few minutes.

If I had the money he would get hid refund less my expenses ASAP. If I didnt have the money he would get his refund whenever the gun sold less my expenses.
