Pistol safe security

Securing small pistol safes...

I have a Barska biometric safe, roughly 20"x16"x8" sitting on a bedside table. I am uncomfortable as it is not secured and could be carried away as we have heard here in the past.

I never store anything of value in it because it is not secure.

I have considered making a steel table and bolting it all to the floor but then I thought about fastening a cable and bolting it to the floor, perhaps using a bicycle cable lock.

Any thoughts?

My pistol safe is bolted to a stud in an inconspicuous location. The floor should work as well. Just throw some dirty clothes over it when you step out. BTW I did have to drill holes in the back of the safe.
