MoPo: Rockin M4/1911

Was driving the work van at work today. Passed a MoPo (Moto Police) and noticed he wasn't sporting the usual 870 pistol grip and M9.



But what looked like a M4 carbine and a 1911 of sorts. Since when did they upgrade the small arms for PD? That's some classic CGN weaponryc CGN starter pack. Tried and true 1911 or Glock/AR15 combo guns.

Lots of SoCal police departments have been doing SBR ARs on motorcycles for the last few years. I see them here in Ventura county all the time, and the Pasadena motor officers in the Rose Parade this year also had them.

I see the same thing in my neck of the woods. Been like that for quite some time now.

I saw a few of the Mountain View (NorCal) PD bikes parked in the lot behind a restaurant, all had the ARs mounted. Don't know what they carried as a sidearm, as they were probably eating lunch someplace.

Oh, and the bikes were legally parked in a regular space. (For those who complain that LEO sometimes park wherever they want.)

Tustin/orange pd mc cops have had SBR colts for years. Santa Ana always has the ugly bronze/gold colored mossberg 500 with the crap top folding stock.

Chino PD has or had AR's on their bikes till a 4th grader work his finger into the trigger guard and set off a round. This was at police appreciation day at a elementary school!!!
