You should buy EVERYTHING FROM BCM. There is no other option; plus you get swag. Hats, decals, and a few other items that Calguns won't let me mention....

While BCM makes fine products, it doesn't always fit into everyone's budget. For a budget, beater, truck, trainer gun, etc., PSA is gtg and many people can vouch for them.

        Yup.

I think I'm on week 4 and counting of my last order from them.

It's like playing the lotto... Just wonder how long you have to wait to win something. In this case you win the order you pay for lol

I ordered some ammo from PSA on December 26. Order is still listed as "processing". That's a month and counting on ammo that they said they had in stock. I will not be using them again. Sure, many here say you have to be patient. But why, when I can order the same exact ammo from Target Sports USA for a couple pennies more, and get in in 3 days?

I was afraid of using PSA because of all the bad reviews, but I had two orders ship within the 15 day period they claim on the website (bought a Bushnell red dot for $50, and 500 rounds of 5.56 M193).

I think if you guys are having problems, go to the PSA vendor forum on this site, and post in the "Where's my order" thread with your order number.

^^^ This. Here's is the reason I was given for the slow shipping. Their order system is designed to automatically "Flag" orders from restrictve States (like ours). It goes into a que at that point. The order then has to be manually reviewed for State law compliance before it is manually released to be filled and shipped. Then it goes into another que (back of the line) even though your order date is prior to others in the order filling que. That is what adds to the shipping time, especially during high volume sales, holidays, etc. At least that was what was explained to me.

It's not the greatest system, I grant, but it's one that is designed to protect them liability-wise and to keep them from shipping 30rd "standard cap" mags (or any other restricted product) to States or localities where they are illegal.

Remember, the squeeky wheel concept. After 5 business days, I asked for help on the vender page, their facebook page, and e-mailed customer service, all at the same time. I got a response within 36 hrs. The order was "reviewed and released" faster than it normally would have been. I'm sure of that. Just understand their system, and hang in there.

Where did you get that information about their order service? Cause as far as I know everything about their system is speculation because PSA does not like to release much of any info about their company/system workings.

Also if that is the case it's still bad business. They have had for a while now, automated systems to flag and mark orders depending on payment and shipping info provided. Which all of the rest of the gun world industry has been using for a few decades now.

I think this is just speculation to explain their slow order system because I've heard of about 5 different explanations, all differing "why" their order system is slow. From minimal work force, to built to order, now flag to order compliance order system. Usually again just speculation because PSA is very closed mouth about their inner workings.

Which again doesn't make much sense with modern order/file systems readily avalible and the fact that not just restricted stars have large complaints but common complaints come from across the board about their slow shipping and almost non existent CS.

I've bought decent stuff from them. But yes, thier shipping time typically sucks.

But everything I have purchased has been GTG.

                  Edit:

I still waiting for the upper I ordered from diamondback at thanksgiving. So almost two months. Slightly different situation, but every company can be susceptible to delays.
                  Sorry, not sorry.

Here's the thing. The reason why people shop at PSA is because you can good pretty good stuff for bottom barrel prices. If I could have found Federal M193 for 27 cents a round readily available online, then I would have bought it, but I could not, so I choose PSA. I also had a friend buy an Umarex MP5 .22lr for $250 on sale. You can't beat that price anywhere.

With PSA, I never buy stuff that I would need in 2 weeks anyway. So if you're going to be participating in a 3 gun competition in 6 days and need parts for your guns, don't be an idiot and order from PSA, go elsewhere, that's not the type of shop they are, and have never been.

But if you're stocking up on AR uppers, ammo, or other things, then PSA is a great place to shop for the deals they have which are often pretty much the cheapest online.

Im 4 weeks in on a ammo order as well.
I have since ordered the same ammo from other suppliers for the same cost, and it has already been delivered.

With shipping like that, I would NOT use this company again. I figure when I get my ammo shipment this coming March, Ill erase their link off my desktop and work with companies who care more about doing what they supposed to do.

Just a quick testament to them. I ordered a bushnell AROptics 1-4x24 scope that was on sale from $119 down to $69.99 and free shipping. I jumped all over that because I had a 30mm ADM mount that needed to be filled. After about 3 weeks I called on my order to check on what was happening and they said they were going to have problems filling it in an orderly amount of time. They offered the next model up which is the 1-4x24 PCL with the BTR-1 Reticle. MSRP is $269 on it and I believe they had it sale priced at $199. They honored the original sale price of $69.99 with free shipping and sent it to my house in about 4-5 days right after.

I've had things like this happen before and where other stores fall on their faces, Palmetto never ceases to amaze me.

You believe what you want. I got my information directly from a PSA customer service agent in several e-mail exchanges, explaining their process. If anyone is speculating, it's you. Take it or leave it, believe it or not, it's your choice.

With PSA, it's also important to double-check what was delivered versus what was ordered. They have a tendency to ship the wrong stuff or wrong quantities. This has happened on about 10-15% of my orders from them. It has always gotten corrected in the end for me but it takes a while.

Obviously, you have to check all vendors orders as they get delivered but especially PSA.
