    New surefire weaponlight

Saw this posted this morning. It's suppose to run off of one AAA battery and emit 200 lumens. What do you guys think?

I think there is a big difference in candle power between LED and Incandescent bulbs. Lumens are a measure of brightness not power so for LEDs it takes a lot (for me).

Good: Compact, bright, uses AAA batteries
          Bad: Will cost $$$

If that is MSRP from Surefire, they will be available for less elsewhere given time. I bought my AA Outdoorsman for $40 less than MSRP off Amazon.

Will most likely fit in your other holsters that fit other weapon mounted lights. Not perfectly but securely & snug. However the XC1 is really narrow so it may have more play inside the same holster.

My X300U holsters for my Glocks will work perfectly with an Inforce APL on them. Likewise, if you have a holster for your G19 that's made for an APL or a Viridian light, it'll probably fit the XC1.

A couple of people who reviewed it said they 'maybe' think it'll to be around the $150-180 MSRP range, but nothing solid from Surefire yet. Haven't heard anything about it also being a laser, but it looks like one side could be a laser while the other is the white light.

The only solid thing is that Surefire said it won't be available until closer to Q3 2015, and you know it'll cost $$$ because of the name.

I'm thinking it's going to be like the X300 Ultra lights, where a small batch will get released this Fall. Jump on that 1st batch because I suspect the 2nd batch will take a few months or longer like the X300U lights did.

BTW, OP you can rename the thread to Surefire XC1

I like it! Nice and compact. Sucks that it won't be coming out till later this year.

I'd be all over it, but it says Surefire on the side and it's brand new. That means it'll probably be $1,500,000 at introduction.

Very nice. I'm sure like everything else Surefire makes it'll be very durable and expensive.
I just bought an Inforce APL from Midway for $104+ship. This Surefire looks even more compact. Probably a pretty short runtime with a single AAA battery.
