    Dueling .308's at 500+ yards

    Found a location

Set up targets (look in the back and you can see my truck)

Entered in my new scope and load

    And went to town

Might just be some of the most fun I've ever had with my guns. I found my calling

indeed my favorite shooting arena too, ar500 steel way out in the desert.
Slapping an upper onto a lower is not "building" an AR-15.

What part of "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" do you illiterate pawns not understand!?

Makes me wish I lived closer to BLM where I could do something like that. Every time I go hiking, I swear I find at least half a dozen spots I'd like to shoot long range. But nooooo. The bay area hippies would have a heart attack if they even knew I was thinking these sick thoughts.

What size bipods did you use? Are you using them primarily for table, prone, or a mix?

Paying to shoot indoors and breathe in all the smoke and lead, then being forced to follow the rules, along with needing double hearing protection for that ar pistol in the lane over...nah I'm good. I'll spend that 15$ driving into the desert.

Thank you, the one with the lighter profile barrel and 45 irons is mine. The other is my buddy dans.

I moved 30 min from my old house, 30 min closer to my fav shooting. Just don't tell my wife that

The one on the left is using a Caldwell 9-13" and it's what the rifle calls for. The one on the right is using a 6-9 and it's a little low. Must be extended all the way to 9" to put a mag in. It sucks because I sold the bipod to him like a year ago before we REALLY got into the .308 ARs.

Mine is lighter then dans because of the contour after the gas block. But yes both are pretty heavy. I should weigh mine.

                Thanks for the words guys!

I have a few rifles I'd like to try at that range.

Man, need to pickup a upper for my AR-15 or take the Garand out.. I think I can plink with you guys. I have the same buckmaster scope just with the Mil dots. Sitting in a closet since I got rid of my last precision upper. Plans to build another but couldnt ever get my Rainier 18" rifle length bench match barrel.
