Went to the Sac gun show yesterday. There were highs and lows...

I was suprised that it wasn't crowded at all. Miwall didn't have the stock they usually have, but I did find another dealer who had HP38 and H110. I picked up 2lbs of H110 for $26.00/each.

Also was happy that the guy with the LED safe and reloading press lighting was at the show. Got the LED lights for the safe and the dillon 650. $40 for the safe lights (2) 4'strips and (1) 24" strip with control box and door switch.

$26 for the small strip and tool head light for the dillon 650.

Picked up some AR-500 steel, and a holster.

For the craply show I actually found something's, but firearm wise there wasn't much to be found. The crossroads show has really downsized. I was glad to find the powder and some accessories. So I wasn't a total loss..

Glad I did not drive to Sac and be disappointed. I remember the good old days of gun shows in Cali. Long gone now. You young whippersnappers missed all the fun.

for such a crappy show I was surprised to get what i got. I expected it to be a total loss. I can't believe they charge $14.00 for this BS. I remember shows of the past were excellent you could easily spend half the day there. and great deals were to be found.

The non firearm venders keep increasing, while the jewelry, pillow, purse, jerky, and junk vendors are increasing.

I went. My buddy set up as a vendor so I had a pass through him, and helped him on work his table on Sunday. Every show seems to get incrementally worse with what is available. Few sellers of older guns, and quality used stuff at reasonable prices, which is what I have always gone to gun shows for. Lots of new AR stuff, Ammo, holsters, cases etc... I might find it worth it if I was considering building an AR, otherwise personally, I would probably not bother going anymore. I did find a 20" barrel for my 870 but, I know the only reason I got it was because I bought it Friday afternoon during the set up period. I only saw two used 870 barrels at the entire show. Mine and one other for $200, granted it was rifled with sights. In the good old days finding a second barrel for a shotgun at a gun show consisted of choosing which one of the several available to buy. Clearly, what we are seeing are the effects of California's laws, and internet auction sights that allow you to sell guns, and gun parts. Seems many are choosing that as the way to sell off their used stuff. I think the internet has had a significant impact on the availability of the types of things I look for at gun shows.
