It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'd guess $450-$550.

ATF has opinied that it would not be a C&R since it is not in it's original configuration. I'm still unclear as to why since, it is still over 50 years old.

It shoots way better than I do. With my shoulder hurting me, I am less willing to shoot it.

Yep, it's a sporter now, no longer C&R.
Nice rifle, though! I'm sure it's a solid hunter.

Very nice rifle I would love to have that, as mentioned no longer C&R but who cares it's a mean machine now.

Does not matter it has been altered so no longer a C&R.

Besides that does not matter anymore since even C&R has to go thru a dealer in Ca now.

Also no one collecting C&R wants a rifle that modified as a C&R firearm....Since it is no longer one.

better made than the avg hunting rifle today. That bolt you have probably would cost more to make today that most complete rifles under 500 bucks.I have a model 1917 in a sporter stock and to me it is priceless. It was done in the 50s and that is what WW 2 vets could afford.

                    Springfield

I have decided over a long period of time to sell my rifle. Timney trigger, hart barrel 26" , and Macmillan stock. She shots better than I do. Does not come with scopes or rings. I just took the rifle to a show and there was some interest but no traders or buyers. Asking $600 I also have 300 rounds of factory hornady ammo with various loads asking $20 a box FTF only.

"Sporter" is what the drooling toothless inbred albino with the hacksaw thinks his newly created "dear riffel" is.
"Bubba" is what he and his ugly and ruined rifle really are.
First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.

Post an ad in the marketplace with a price, if no one bites lower your price till it sells. Pretty simple really. As mentioned, no one is going to care about it being C&R or not since it's been sporterized anyway and isn't some rare example(like the sporterized prototype mauser on forgottenweapons a few days ago) of anything.

Thats an awesome sporter. The stock must be worth at least $300 on its own. Alas once these rifles are sporterized their value is slashed greatly. Its worth whatever someone is willing to pay. IMO, a sporterized milsurp is like tits on a bull. Still, that is one good looking rifle.

I think that $600 is somewhat optimistic.

                              IMO.

                              Good luck.
