    1911 Magazine problem?

Can anyone help with a problem I have with a new Metalform 8 round 1911 magazine I cannot push round number 8 into the magazine, it is very difficult to load the last 2 rounds It feels like something gets stuck in the middle?
By the way I was loading Hornady hollow point critical defend.

After taking the magazine apart everything looks normal, spring and follower were ok, I put everything back again I still have the same problem I have another Metalform same exact model stainless 8 rounds and works good?
Also I found some brass markings shaving around bullet rim because I was pushing too hard into the mag.

Take both mags apart and compare the parts.

Maybe the spring needs to be broken in?

IDK, I've had AK mags that didn't accept full capacity and as time went by, they started accepting more. Hasn't happened on a 1911, but I can see that possibility.

The .45ACP mag for 1911 was designed for 7 rounds, trying to cram in 8 has always been a problem for reliability and function. Same problem trying to force the 9mm 1911 magazine to go from 9 rounds to 10.

Wow, if this is a defense gun you need reliable magazines.... or a revolver.
