    Renewing My COE

I sent the renewal check/form in on 23 Dec. 2014. My COE expires in Feb. 2015. No response yet from the Politburo. Today is 14 Jan. 2015. Is this typically a slow process?

Or should I call Dear Leader and inquire, humbly, about my renewal?

(I'm posting in the pistol forum because this is about pistols.)

    Yes they are that slow.

I thought something was wrong too, but their renewal letter actually says to give them 30 days to process. I think it took about 5 weeks for mine.

I had an address issue, others here did too. The form DOJ sent had an old address on it, took 4 weeks for the envelope to bounce back with "no forwarding address".

Thanks, everyone. As you know, it was a bit of a pain to set up in the first place and I don't want to let it expire. I'll wait with fingers crossed. No address issue in my case.

I sent mine in just before Xmas and received it on Monday this week. I have had one take them forever but a week or two after it expired I received the new certificate. They must randomly scrutinize renewals.

It would be helpful if you could remember and mention the old and the new address for others to know.

I worried unnecessarily. My renewed COE arrived today. Carry on, gentlemen.
