    Stippling alternative

I have done some stippling on some guns / gun parts, and like to think I'm ok at it, but it is so labor and time intensive, I tend to stop and start so many times, it just takes that much longer (plus my old eyes can only take so much). Seems all the race gun guys have it sorted out, so I just took it one step further.

These are not stickers, it's bonded directly to the magazine, and what you have seen was, after curing over night, lightly brushed with a small wire brush, so it's on there good.

This was sort of my first experiment for proof of concept, worked out great. So have a few more things to do, other designs and patterns.

The best part is cost, for me to reproduce this for joe public would be maybe $10 a mag, considerably cheaper than some generic blocked stippling. And you can sort out the texture from mild to flesh removal.

it's either griptape or what some people have been doing for awhile which is using an adhesive glue and then adding the grit to it and letting it dry overnight. I myself use a custom griptape that i can cut in my Plotter / vinyl decal cutter. the tape i use is water proof and higher quality then anything like it found in the firearms market. My match gun gets cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner a couple of times a year and the griptape i use doesn't move.

Again, NOT stickers. It's epoxy layer out in the pattern and grit added to it. Grip tape always seems to start to peel from heat, dirt, oil etc, this won't do that.

that's what i said, a glue type adhesive with grit poured on. but also like i said the gun in my original post has been put through a heated ultrasonic cleaner and lubed with froglube as well as many other types of lube for over 2 years now with zero peeling or movement. it gets shot year round 2 to 3 matches a month as well as regular range trips during the week.
it all comes down to what kind of grip tape you use. the stuff i use doesn't move after it is placed.
