    Moore-N-Moore Sporting Clays fire update / Oct 18, 2008

As some of you may know, Moore-N-Moore Sporting Clays in Lakeview Terrace, CA was right in the path of the 5000 acre Marek fire.

I won't lie to you, they took a punch but they're still standing.

They lost a few machines, and they lost a few stations, but Cory and Pat (Moore-N-Moore) both said, "We'll be back." Actually they plan to rebuild "bigger and better" kinda like "The Six Million Dollar Man."

In fact, Pat said with the help of Homer Hansen, M-N-M will be open and throwing targets next week. I don't know about you guys, but I plan to be there to support them.

    Here are some pictures:

How close to M-N-M did the fire burn?

Some guys never stop playing with Tonka Toys:

See, I told you they were still there:

Me? I spent the rest of the day at the Polo Grounds. It's So Cal, life goes on:

Hey, thats me in the orange helmet, riding Pilot, and my lovely wife is wearing the darker helmet with the yellow banding, riding Boo.

Just a little practice stick-and-ball session. Funny finding that picture here. Come by when there's a game and see some real action....

Haven't shot clays in many years, maybe I'll take a lesson and brush up!

Chukkers (games) are at 7 PM Tuesday and Thursday. Also Saturday mornings at 8 or 9 AM. A lot of horses are out to pasture because summer is over, but the club operates year round. Hope to see you there. Visitors are welcome.
