    Sanfrancisco Gunshow

And deals? Ammo or pistol powder?

I was going to go but with the lack of deals out here figured the drive + admission + parking wasn't worth it

I haven't been to any of the frisco shows (:tty2 in over 10 years for those very reasons. I have been to 1 or 2 of the SJ beef jerky/overpriced accessories shows in that time, but feel they were kinda wasted trips.

    YMMV
    Sorry, not sorry.

seems about right but always curious. I'll go to the one in Sacramento, only reason is nothing to do and its closer than the SF show. Plus maybe score and get some pistol powder and possible above internet priced ammo to make up for the admission, gas, and parking...

Meh, wasn't that great the last time they were around, so I skipped it this time. I'm never impressed by the selection there (perhaps because I always go later in the day!), but my favorite part is the beef jerky. I go Costco style on the samples.
God may have made men, but Samuel Colt made them equal.

Send me pics of your: Colt Detective Special, AMT Hardballer, pre-64 Winchester Model 70. I'm looking for them.

I think what you meant was the annual northern california Jerky, Knives, Stun gun, Pepper Spray, Accessories and chubby men in camo convention.

I just talked to a guy that said, he bought a pallet of 7.62x39 and .22lr last year at a Cow Palace gun show. I've never been though, always thinking about it when I see the ads. I also hear if you like Beef Jerky and Dream Catchers it's the place to be.

I have decided to take the money I would spend on gas, parking and admission, and use it to buy something at my local gun shop.
While I can't get jerky there, I have always gotten better deals on guns and ammo at my LGS's than I ever did at gun shows.

saved some money on ammo but the cost of toll, parking and admission made up the difference. this was my first time so it wasnt a big deal. I probably wont go back for a long time though, theres much better deals on everything online. what i found interesting was the amount of wrong information going around from the people selling stuff. i overheard one guy telling a customer that after he was done building his ar pistol he had to engrave a serial number and voluntary register with the doj to be legal. then i heard someone at another booth talking to a customer about ar pistol and an 80%, saying all he had to do was mill out his lower and then its just 2 pins to put on their upper (complete) and thats it.

Exactly my thoughts. Did not know you could use the terms "San Francisco" and "Gun Show" in the same sentence.

You didn't miss much unless you wanted some decently priced ammo if you need it now but you would have had to buy it by the case to get decent prices.

                              American eagle 9mm 1k rounds for $225
                              CCI Blazer 9mm 1k rounds for $215
