Just curious will my cali DL car regestration work and my 2014/2015 home tax bill be accepted thanks in advance

You should just need your CDL to buy a rifle. You need secondary ID when buying a handgun, and car reg or pg&e is acceptable.

DL and car reg.

Both should have same address and you are GTG.

Every time I buy a gun at a LGS some dumb clerk is rattling off 1/2 dozen other odd-ball IDs (utility bill etc) that most people will need to wait 2 weeks to get a new one, and by pass the obvious DL and Car Reg.

As Commander Cody points out, usually one's CA DL is enough. CA law does not require proof of residency to purchase a long gun.
