For whatever reason, that video seem to really be making the rounds lately. My take on it is that it was simply too much gun for her. Nothing more, nothing less.

Look at her grip. It sure looks correct and it sure looks like it's firm. She's also wearing Howard Leight Sport electronic muffs. Those are not the muffs of a beginner shooter (usually) although somebody could certainly have lent them to her.

It's a big freaking caliber. Many men would have trouble with it too. So what? Does that mean you don't give it a shot? (pun intended) Which of us here wouldn't want a turn on that if you've never shot one before? Just be smart about it. Load a single round. Make sure you're wearing the appropriate safety equipment. Maybe shoot over soft earth instead of concrete so if the gun drops...well you get the idea.

And if it's a woman shooting or a smaller person, make sure they are well educated on what they're in for. There's nothing funny about the jackwagons that hand a .500 or similar to their novice girlfriends because they want to see the surprise on their face. Those guys are idiots. But there's nothing here that indicates this was that. In fact, and as I said, it looks more like she is an experienced shooter who simply couldn't handle the recoil.

To that end, so what? People are adults and can decide for themselves if they want to try something. And there's no shame in not being able to handle it. I give props to those who are willing to try.
