Spotting Scope ... Straight or Angled for range bench shooting???

Found a smoking deal on a quality budget 20-60x60 - 45* scope but curious what most prefer from the bench ... I have not used one at a bench so this is why I ask.
I think I'm gonna order one but wanted to get the best one possible .... Plus the straight is about 10 bucks cheaper as well.

What do most prefer for range bench shooting? The straight scope or 45* angled?

Well that looks like a ton of votes for Angled.

      Guess I'll go with that

I have the straight. Go for the angled.

I will do that ... Thanks for the reply to confirm further that the angled is the best option.

What brand are you getting? What store?
If online consider B&H Photo. For an example, their Redfield Rampage scope is 60-70 bucks cheaper with shipping than Bass Pro Shop

Agreed. I have a straight. Unless you enjoy bending your back in awkward postitions, I'de have to say go for the angled.

If you are going to use it while shooting from a bench, then an angled version is what you want. You can set the scope next to your rifle so that after taking a shot, all you have to do is make a slight turn of your head to see the target.

I have to disagree. You can setup a straight so that you just have to slightly move your head. With an angled eyepiece you have to completely change position/put down your rifle.

Yep this is right. For my body i need a straight. If i were standing or sitting with my spotter lower than me then an angled is what id want. On a bench and prone a straight is perfect.
