    SoCal Safe mover

I will be moving in a few months from Palmdale down to the Ventura area and need to move a safe. Any suggestions on a company that moves safes?

I already reached out to "The Safe Movers" and they don't service Palmdale.

    Thanks!

Dean Safe Co. in Pacoima. They moved my safe out to Palmdale five years ago and moved it back down last week. $450.00

Quality company and people. They know what they are doing.

I would recommend Boswell Safe and Vault. They recently did some work for me and are great guys

Damn, that much to move your safe?

When I bought my safe from Dean Safe last year, it was just under $200 to have them deliver it from their North Hollywood store out to my place just next to the IE. And that included delivery & installation inside the house, along with bolting it down.

I'd hope it would cost closer to what I paid to have them move my safe if I ever move.

In fairness to them. It's a big heavy safe. And they have always shown up at the scheduled time and taken it straight to the new place.

+1 for Dean Safe. He was referred to me by a friend who I grew up with who is also a locksmith.
He even ce by once when I was locked out and opened it for whatever my AAA card would cover.
            He is trustworthy and honest.

Thanks guys for the help. I will reach out to Dean Safe Co. and Richardson Safe. I tried Boswell Safe Company (The Safe Movers) and they wouldn't do my location.

They really aren't as hard to move as people think. My buddy and I have moved all three of my safes with just a dolly and some of those furniture sliders (though cardboard will do in a pinch as well).

Set safe close to tailgate before lifting the rear and sliding it in on a blanket, while a set of Harbor Freight ramps covered in cardboard to protect the finish allows for easy unloading

I had to move my safe twice before I sold it, it was 59" high and 28" wide and 26" deep, a furniture dolly and 3 people did it quick.

I think it depends on weight and approx dimention.
they Will ask when you call for estimate.
Also distance. Any stairs. All factors in.
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

You can correct my spelling and grammar error anytime.
I welcome it. How else would I learn.

OP, do you know if the door will lift off the hinges when open? of course I moved my safe 3 times before I realized the door will lift off. I had the safe way over built, the door "off" makes it a lot easier to move
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

No actually I never tried to remove it. I know when they installed it they managed to scoot it along with their super robo dolly. I reached out to Dean and they replied back with some questions. All things being equal if I can get them to move it for a good price it will be one less thing to deal with on moving day.

Good call. You will be working hard enough without wrestling a safe.
I don't know how much moving experience you have but I learned 2 things to save yourself on moving day. Have an overnight bag packed so a shower at the end of the day is no stress trying to find a towel or undies and move your bed in and make it up first so you can just drop into it after your no hassle shower.
If you go with Deans, post a review of your experience.
