Do you keep magazines loaded when keep in the safes?

I have a gun safe to keep some firearms and magazines (empty). I am thinking of loading ammo in mags. Like to know majority of gun owners here what would you do.

I don't have a safe. All my magazines are loaded except the ones I practice with and take to the range with.

Half my mags are loaded at all times, the other half are in my range bag which I use for the range

All of mines are loaded dosent do you no good having them unloaded. Just incase you have an intruder in your home what are you gona tell wait let me load my mags first lol

I keep some loaded mags in the safe. Usually rounds from open boxes. Easier to keep the mags loaded than have loose rounds in a baggie.

FWIW, my safe isn't readily accessible for HD.

All my mags are empty. I do however have a loaded 12 gauge Maverick 88. I cannot see needing much else. I do not anticipate a Fallujah style firefight in my hallway.

I see no point to having loaded mags in a safe if a need arises do you really have time to open a safe? if you just happen to have a safe not full of guns and just use it for storage why not. Imo

+1 to this as long as you have something ready to go in case of trouble.

Otherwise, I would have to ask an intruder to hold on for 5 minutes while I get to my safe and load up.

Mag loaded and in the bedroom gun only. If you have an intruder you won't have time to get to/open the safe. I load up the mags before a range trip.

I keep lots of them loaded, but not in the safe. No ammo/powder/primers, etc in my safe. I personally don't think its good to keep explosives in a safe. Note that a safe is not the same thing as a security cabinet.

In addition to that, I agree with the above posters in that a loaded mag in a safe wont help you much should an immediate need arise. same goes for a firearm that may be needed at a moments notice. There are ways to secure a firearm but make it readily accessible to the appropriate individual(s)

All safe mags are empty. All guns and mags outside of the safe are loaded.

For HD, of course I have one loaded for fast accessible next to my bed stand in the small safe. This is the safe to keep most of my firearms.

Now I see no point of keep them mags loaded in that safe.
