ThreatFire Dance 2014 Compilation

As some of you know I am fan of Artemis Defense, and simulation in general. They just published their ThreatFire Dance 2014. They offer pre-CCW training and things to consider. They offer OCSD approved CCW training, and of course what is best is they offer post CCW license training, force on force.

Apparently there are 1200 people nuts enough to strap on the hit simulator. The attached video tells the story. "we had over 1200 fantastic dances to choose from... but had to limited your viewing time... so that you would get back to being productive... So watch it... enjoy it... then share it!"

I took my CCW class at Artemis, and at the end of the first day one person went on a force on force scenario while the rest watched. It was eye opening for situational awareness, and what could happen.

I would recommend their classes. I would especially recommend their CCW class as the instructor (Steve) is an attorney that represents LE on deadly force situations in addition to being a firearms instructor, and that adds another dimension to the class.

Now I've done virtually every scenario they have during the time CG was hosting private group sessions there (about 6 months) and have felt the threat fire one or twice, and have seen others in CG "get it", but I have never seen reactions like that. I wonder if they operator is just holding the button down on these folks or if they are over reacting. Generally, the threat fire is only supposed to be hit intermittently, not held down like a stun gun.
