Issue with Troy is just us little guys sticking it to a company that see's Ruby Ridge as an appropriate level of force for selling a sawed-off shotgun.
Not comparing it to National level commerce and trade.
Check out SOE's facebook page. Im not going to comment on that incident in particular but if you feel so strongly about it you are free to boycott Troy. I have nothing against you or anyone else doing so. I rarely take politics into consideration when purchasing items. For example, I am for gay marriage yet I regularly eat at chik fil a. Unless the proprietor wronged me or someone i care about in a grevious way, i would like to judge their products for myself before writing them off.

Let me break it down for you. The FedGov went after Randy Weaver because he refused to become a Fed informant. They came after him on weapons charges that may or may not have been legit, but either way it is alleged he sold a long gun, with the stock too short, resulting in the long gun being too short and in violation of federal law. Had he paid a tax and gotten a tax stamp from the ATF the rifle would have been legal. Had he had the tax stamp, and transferred it to somelne else who had a tax stamp the transaction would have been legal.

Weaver had a good relationship with the local sheriff, and could have easily been arrested that way, but the Feds staked out his house, and killed his son Sammy, shooting him in the back, as he was running away from them after the Weaver's dogs alerted him to the Feds presence. This resulted in a seige on the cabin, during which Vicki Weaver, Randy's wife, was shot in the head, unarmed, while holding her baby, by an FBI sniper.

So the Federal Government killed his son, and his wife, over a tax matter, resulting from a piece of wood being a few inches too short. And this guy was one of the trigger pullers.

Seems you really are an accepting guy ...

You said, and this is a direct quote from your post:
"This isn't about the law. The guy is dead. Slandering, libel, impugn, it all describes the same thing. Spreading lies, especially about a dead person is just low. But who am I kidding. I already knew you would stoop that low."

Some of us think the heavy handed guys that do things like this deserve to carry their deeds with them.

Apparently you think differently of this sort of attitude.
If you feel differently and want to boycott them thats fine. I dont know much about the incident except that it happened over 22 years ago. Even if the officers had been found derelict in their duties they would've been released by now. There comes a time to forgive and let go eventually.

As for Troy, I've never purchased anything from them but their decision to hire someone involved in that incident would not affect my decision from purchasing their products in the future.

Can't find an SOE facebook page and nothing comes up in a search for SOE issues.
But now I'm DYING to find out how they got your scorn.

Thank you for pointing this out. While I'm not an AR owner yet, info like this about who to support and who not too is good to know.

What about SOE? As I type, I'm wearing a SOE belt. Please don't tell me I have to take it off.

Special operations equipment page. They are like the Kim Kardashian of tactical crap. Most people hate them. The proprietor prides himself on his utter lack of customer service. A couple days ago the moron started selling first aid kits that go inside the hole of the sig brace.

OK. They look like they may be a bit douchy. But don't they make a quality product? Isn't that what's it's all about for you?
Frankly, I can deal with my gear being made by pricks. I can't deal with it being made by those who snipe innocent women and children.

Well, I guess if it isn't in your back yard, then why should you care ...

Think again about this but as if it was your family members killed in the incident. I bet you would feel differently.

Like I said, you think Ted Kennedy, the same man, who hid from Vietnam and killed someone while drunk driving, and then tried to cover it up deserves a spot at Arlington (which could go to deserving veterans).

Knowing that is your attitude, why would one expect you to feel anything about Troy hiring someone that killed unarmed women and children, on US soil no less.

Ted Kennedy is a veteran so he should be buried at Arlington, end of story.

Again I don't generally take politics into consideration when purchasing goods. If we only bought items from people we agreed with 100% of the time we wouldn 't be able to shop.

My liberal friends always give me crap for this too. They tell me I shouldnt eat at chikfila or buy guns from people who donate to socially conservative causes. I choose not to take politics into account with most purchases because i dont feel that strongly about most issues.

Also alleged crimes do not transfer from person to person. Just because you feel the employee is guilty of something he did 22 years before working at a place doesn't mean the boss is automatically guilty of that alleged crime as well.

Pretty good summary, you forgot to mention after Vicki Weaver was killed, they then taunted Randy Weaver over bull horns asking him how his dead wife's body smelt.. These are the same people you support when making a Troy product purchase. Just keep that in mind as you are enjoying your Troy product.
If you are not outraged you are not paying attention!!!

Daniel Defense layoffs. Smith & Wesson rifle sales plummet 50%. Colt restating earnings.
And Troy discounts point to financial trouble, due to one of their divisions hiring a guy that was at Ruby Ridge. Makes sense.
