Seriousy a store in the same location for 34 years made a bad mistake from the get go. They should have bought the property up front, paid the mortgage every month and used the future rental income as a retirement pension. Duh.....

I am familiar with the store, but have not been in for years. They were on the pricey side and never cared much for the people that worked there.
The store is a small space inside of a large strip center. The anchor store was a Zody's and a White Front in the distant past. This would be a huge investment for a small gun shop.

I think she is no longer selling guns. Also is closed now. Probably for good.

I've been a customer for a few years. Sharon's husband passed away last year and she's now lost the lease. I'm personally sad to see it close. Maybe not the mother hen some folks need, but good people none the less.

WTF I grew up in HH and worked at one of the Del Tacos on Hacienda Blvd when I was in high school, and yet I never saw that place once. No wonder they went out of business


I guess I should mention that I didnt even 'discover guns' until after Id moved out, but I still used to know where everything interesting in town was. (there wasn't much interesting in HH so I spent all my time in Fullerton)

I also grew up in HH. I used to go to the Del Taco on Gale and Hacienda.
I was heading for that DT one night and found an old man trying to push his old Plymouth up the driveway into the Lucky's Parking lot. Me and a couple of bicyclists helped him push the car into a space. The cyclists took off and the old man was leaning on the car with his hand on his chest. I asked him if I could drive him home or if he needed a hospital. He refused my offer too help. Said he will be fine in a few minutes, just let him go. He was pleasant and thanked me for helping him. I was maybe 18 or 19 at the time.
The old guy scared me so bad I drove straight to the Fire Station on Stimson. No cell phones at the time and Stimson was the next major street. I rang the doorbell on the station and told the paramedics what I had just seen. I explained that I did not know what to look for, but I would hate to find out that guy died alone in a parking lot.
The Paramedics told me no problem, they will be happy to check on him. Just stay parked until they leave the station. By the time I got in my car, they were rolling out the door lights and sirens. I never found out what happened, but I have a lot of respect for Firemen. Even though I doubted myself, they were willing to check.

I also grew up in that area. Old West has been there for many years, yes over priced and bit on the small side but still sad to see it go. Anyone remember Slims Gun shop in La Puente way back in the day?

You should of asked her if she still had ability to sell guns I think she finally stopped. Not much left in shop that you would want. I think she was probably just there to tidy up a few loose ends. I asked about some guns right before it looked like was closed for good most the prices she quoted weren't much if any of a discount.
