    Tannerite at the range

So at the local range yesterday while being disappointed in the Golden Bullets I purchased, on the far right bay, their was a KABOOM huge cloud of smoke.

I look to my right an all the shooters have the look WTH, so I pony up a phrase that's a FELONY, and people in my section got a confirming smile on they're faces.

Seems it was well know in our area, that Tannerite would produce more than a BOOM in this state, but the far bay must of been ignorant of this, as three more would come from that area.

Now I say this, because of the thread posted I think yesterday, an one poster put a link up for all to see how one on the forum has seen $150K spent to try to clear him of a similar situation of exploding this product in CA.

There was also banter of how there were NO warnings on package for use in PRK.

I know it's legal to buy, transport & posses, but shouldn't there be a flag of some kind on this product.

ADDED info : on my in to the range, spotted two Sheriff's, while there seen BLM come buy twice. that was one lucky pup right there.

so what did the RO or management do when the Tennerite was set off. Do they condone it.... if so, which range is this?

Seems I'm the only one to see this rare spectacle at a public range, or at least on CG...

The tannerite company is out right shady.

I'll be the first to admit I've purchased quite a few cases when it first because popular in 2010ish??

Cant remember when exactly but I used it. I was one of the first people to call BS on it being "a no flame/spark" explosive after seeing my own video. I stopped using and buying the stuff shortly after. Now that it's clear its no longer legal in CA I have 0 interest in it.

In my video you can easily see the 100ft flame that follows. 36 jars of tannerite, and 1 cardboard box. No propane, no fuel, no gasoline nothing but tannerite.

Box is about 300 yards so it gives you an idea how big this flame was. This was the last time we used this stuff.

The fact they don't notify people and still claim its a safe, fully legal, NON spark explosive. Again makes me question their moral character.

Legal disclaimer this was shot and filmed in Mexico in the early 80's

People were doing illegal things with stuff they thought was legal because they didn't know it was illegal because it wasn't posted on the package?

OK, so OP did you bother to try informing them of the consequences?

Too many law-expert wannabe cops in this forum. And people wonder why California has so many stupid gun laws.

I'm curious to see the thread the OP was asking to be provided about the person who was actually prosecuted for the use of tannerite. I would love to see what the actual PC is that they were charged with.
