    ARMSCOR ammo?? Reliable??????

Simple question- HOW GOOD/RELIABLE is Armscor ammo?? Looking to put in a big order in for some ammo, just want make sure its not going to bite me in the *** in the long run. Thanks in advanced any info, would be greatly appreciated. If it matters in looking to buy 1000 rounds in .38 super 125gr to put in my pair of new colt 1911 .38 super XSE models SS.

I have only used their 30 carbine and 22lr ammo. The 30 carbine is pretty cheap and I bought a bunch at Turners. It is clean and reliable and had no issues except with one of my mags, and that was not the ammos fault. The 22 I have shot and still have, is some of the older stuff in the white box with the blue, green and orange stripe. That stuff worked great but we weren't try to shoot anything super accurate just trash that people left and it was hitting it. I have no idea about the 38 super so I can offer nothing there.

The 38 super I tried back in 2003 or so was underpowered.

I had several boxes of Armscor .38 super that came with a gun I got through ppt. Had about a 25 percent failure rate. the primers were too low, you could feel running your finger over the primer. Might be the firing pin, but the gun works with everything else I put through it including handloads. I personally stay away, others have good luck.

I bought 6 boxes of the .45acp. It seems quality control is the main issue as noted above. I also think that the loads "feel" hotter than other brands that I shoot. They shoot fine but I won't be buying more.
