This is a Warsaw Pact military ammo packed in a "old standard" tin can, containing 660 rounds packed in 33 boxes of 20 cartridges each. (No loading strips, otherwise there would be only a total of 440 rounds in a can).
Ammo was manufactured in the 1970, the powder used in that ammo was manufactured by a plant #92 in 1969, and was a VUFL grade. (Whatever the VUFL grade means...shall consult their mil-specs of that time period).
Ammo was made in Hungary in a plant #7 known (then) as a "Probablemente Bakony, de Weszprem". The cases are made out of steel, painted dark green.
The bullets are "standard" FMJ with steel core (magnetic).
Cases are primed with Berdan primers, corrosive.
I've got some original printed materials on hand of the former Warsaw Pact military specifications. (Not going to share them publicly...some publication might come out of it...everyone need some additional income to a social security check).
For all those interested in the subject I provide a "short" link, however the link refers to a "new standard".
Hope it would help?Last edited by Phouty; 12-27-2014, 4:51 PM.Comment
