    HSC

I was talking to my nephew, he stated he recently went to a gun store close to his home to take HSC. The store told him that he could only take the test if he bought a gun there in the store. Anyone else have this issue with a store doing this? isn't the store obligated to allow the person to take the test irregardless if he makes a purchase there or not?

He just wanted to take the test so he would have it when he was ready for purchase...

I think there was another thread about this. Apparently they aren't obligated to give you the HSC test, if they are low on the HSC cards (which a lot of FFL's are right now). Reasoning behind it is that if a newcomer comes in and wants to buy a handgun, but there aren't any HSC cards, they lose the sale. In their eyes it is better to save them, and make the sale to the newcomer, rather than just give the test to someone who wont be buying a gun that day.

If he is not buying right away, have him wait until Jan. 1 when the new FSC card comes along. It will be needed to buy both handguns and long guns. He might as well get that card as the HSC only covers handguns.

Many FFLs are low on the HSC cards because the state is switching over to the FSC so they are holding onto them and only using them for those that are buying from them.
Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.

A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.

Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

Any gun he purchases now ill need the fsc card anyway when he picks up in the new year if he does not have an hsc now. For long guns a valid hunting license is acceptable.

Wait for the FSC and tell those losers to pound sand.
