Gun Range Protester. Gotnany stories ?

Opening the gate to a private community range today...
Bearded 45-55 yr old wack-a-do, parked directly in front across the street walks up; "Can I ask a favor ? Can you gun dicks just stop shootiing your (f-bomb) guns, man. Just for Christmas ...? "
I asked him, why; "On Camino Cielo, approximately 22 miles long on this ridge, do you park directly in front of the posted shooting range then ***** about gun-fire.... Perhaps as few miles east would be better for your peace of mind...." Things went downhill from there. I did egg him on with various finger signs and what not... And I was just up there to shoot some archery today....
... aahh, good times..
How do you deal with these guys ? He seemed on the verge of violence, even threatening me with pepper spray. I almost took the bait, but realized the trouble would not have been worth it. I could've fed him his can of pepper spray with his own finger pressing the trigger.
Anyone else had similar situations ?

I would just laugh in his face, maybe say I'll shoot the extra loud ones today just for him and his sensitive little ears

Yep... good advice. It's weird during the confrontation, how strong the instinct to escalate becomes. He's probably a nice guy at a Phish concert...

yep- light blue/silver minvan with bike on top. I got there about 1:00.
He actually engaged me on arrival and departure an hour later. Maybe he thought I was cute.

Seriously, somebody who comes up to you like that and starts of with "gun dicks" is not stable. No telling what a person like that will do. It's not worth the hassle.

Hell, maybe even call the police and report that there's an extremely agitated individual who appears to be looking for a fight, sitting outside the range. That should make his day. =)
