    Range Bag options

I am looking for a large range bag to carry 3-5 handguns, ammo, ears, mags etc. These are the 2 I am looking at so far and have read great reviews on both. I need dual zippers so I can lock the bag for transport. What are your suggestions guys? it doesnt have to be just the 2 posted here. I am open to sugestions

Option 1 Midway USA Competition Range Bag $39.99

Option 2 Tactical Range Bag $46.98 (free shipping too)

To be honest, I wouldn't consider either of those options.

The midway bag looks just like my cabela's range bag, which is good enough for hauling ear/eye pro, ammo, staple gun, and a few tools, but it's basically useless for what you're considering.

The other bag is a picture of items just stuffed anywhere and has no coordination.

Considering that you want 3 - 5 handguns and all of your gear in one bag, I'd look for a bag with a separate padded handgun compartment. There's a really nice bag but I can't find a link at the moment. It's kind of like this though: http://www.amazon.com/Every-Tactical...ords=range+bag
    or

Hopefully someone will come along and paste a link to the exact bag.

The Midway bag usually comes up as the "value play" in the, "which range bag should I get question." There have been reports of bad zippers and frayed seams on this bag but the general consensus is that most of them hold up pretty well. And Midway seems to stand behind it based on what I've heard folks say in these posts.

Note that the Midway bag is a knockoff of the Shooters Connection bag. That bag is built like a tank but it's also more expensive normally...and this sale is a hell of a deal.

These bags are really big though. Which may be good or bad depending on your needs. But 4-5 guns, ammo and all the gear make this bag pretty unpleasant to carry. They make a smaller size too and that one is still pretty big. Were it me, I would go with the smaller one. I'd rather deal with two smaller bags than one giant one. Or one smaller bag and an ammo can for my ammo.

My Glock range bag rocks. I got it as a freebie and I have ears-eyes-targets-stapler-multitools-range finder and removeable padded zip pockets for guns.
Then ammo and mags in a can or two.

Condor has a quite a few bags you might check out, though seems none are advertised as range bags.
Lots of reviews on Condors various bags at Amazon.

+1 these are great handgun range bags and well worth the investment.

My son and I both have had Midway bags for several years. They've held up well and we both like them.

However, you state that one of your requirements is the ability to lock the bag. If that is for legal transportation, I don't think you can do that effectively with the Midway bag. You could check for past threads since this has been discussed.

Can't comment on the other bags mentioned.

Yes for legal transportation. I have a truck and keep the bag in my back seat when I go to the range. The other option is to keep each gun locked in a pistol rug in my range bag which is what I do now but they get bulky.

Anyone have any experience with the Midway AR15 bag?

I have the Midway bag, I like it a lot, especially for the price.

That being said, I like the GPS bag. I like this version better, hope to get it soon. I like the removable case for each pistol.

                        Good luck,

I have beat the daylights out of a Midway bag for years, with absolutely no problems. That bag will treat you well, and for the price no one comes close.

I shoot rifles most of the time, so the pistol-centric G.P.S. is not for me.

If I were buying a bag today, I would happily spend a few more dollars for the Shooter's Connection bag. That bag kills.
