    Angeles Range -- Alive?

Considering the firestorm of support against the complaint about the Angeles range recently, this forum is surprisingly quiet about the fate of the range now that there is a huge fire right next to it, if not on it (?) -- anyone know if Angeles is ok? It would suck to have that thing damaged.

Fire has been burning for what about 48 hours? How much info did you expect already? Speculation is only waisted time and effort.
How about waiting until the smoke clears to see whats up...

I heard some of the silhouette club is damaged, that's all I know of so far.

        Well, presumably
        A) Someone knows someone who owns it or works there
        B) Someone knows a firefighter or official involved
        C) Someone noticed (as I saw in another thread) in the news footage the condition of the range.

So yeah, 48 hours, thousands of board members, major metro area, lots of people monitoring news/web/personal connections, plus the word-of-mouth aspect of our hobby, I do expect some interest at least and maybe even some actual news. Sheesh! I mean, it is one of the only outdoor ranges in the County, and from what I hear, the only good one. Kinda weird to not see some huge thread on the topic already, though I know the board was down all day yesterday.

EDIT -- now I see the thread, didn't know what ASR was. Ok, so for the record, people have been checking into it, and there is news available.

Yes, I would like to know the staus, too.
Electric Factory works there, perhaps he can give us the inside scoop when he gets a chance.
I am guessing that ASR is largely intact. They had plenty of clear area around most buildings.
The eucalyptus trees may have been a problem though, as they burn hot.
ASR probably closed at least until this weekend, will only reopen when the Fire Dept and USFS gives the all clear a couple days after the fire is out.

Me too, I even posted the same question.

Power out but may open on Wed. but no night shooting.
Power may be back in a couple days.
Phone lines are a mess, mostly laying on the road, no idea on that fix yet.
Shooting lines in good shape no fire damage.
Down range most trees and shrubs are gone.
Moore & Moore Sporting clays had more damage than us.
Will try to keep up dates on the web page starting Wed.

Wonder if that is good thing or not. At least there will be no more threat of fire on the range.

Ouch. I'm sorry to hear that.
