Wrong Bore Snake!

Just realized I bought the .30/32 cal. I wanted the .22.

Instead of returning, can I just use this to clean my AK? I don't have a snake for this...?

A 30 cal works for 7.62x39.

The pistol and rifle bore snakes are two different lengths. Yes, both may be .30 cal (or .22), but the rifle snake will be longer. You can use a pistol snake in a rifle but it won't be as effective, plus the string with the weight may not be long enough for the rifle barrel.
