doesn't go into effect until 1-1-15. Turners is not "advertising" them, just explaining the law and it looks like they are attempting to pick up some end of year long gun sales for those that may not want to deal with the FSC BS.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I will need one unless my new Glock shows up before then.

Your HSC continues to be valid for handgun purchases as I recall. Check DOJ website to verify.

It can be used for hand gun purchases but not for long guns.

The anti-gun people will consider a victory, if gun folks will not comply, they don't get to buy guns.

Is the exemption for firearm carry permit holders still valid? I have a state issued exposed permit and have used it instead of the hsc to buy pistols for years. Am I going to need to take the retarded test to buy guns from here on out?

This is a question about CA law, so you should expect to find the answers in the Law forum.

Thank you Librarian. That link was quite helpful.

If its anything like the hsc card i could care less, except for the money outta my pocket but if the state requires me to answer a bunch of no brainers so I can still purchase my guns then im going to continue to purchase. The hsc took me all of 5 min and didnt get a single answer wrong.

So can you take this test now and get it out of the way ? Or do we have to wait till 01/01/15 to start taking it?

Only available in 2015 and after - that's when the law takes effect.
