Guns you have, but never shot

I was looking through my safe, and looking at my stockpile of ammo and I seem to have a problem.

I have three guns in my safe that I have never even shot, an sks, a g20 and an ar 15 I have built reccently. None of them are safe queens and I really would like to shoot them, but it seems like I just don't have time with work, and if I do have a day off funds are low.

It just makes me sad to have guns in my safe that have never been fired, does anyone here also have more than two or three guns that arent safe queens that havent been shot?

I was also looking through my ammo and in the course of the last six months I have loaded

    500 rounds of 30-06
    1500 rounds of 9mm
    2500 rounds of 45
    200 rounds of 270 win
    200 rounds of 308 win
    1000 rounds of 38 special
    300 rounds of 44 magnum

Out of that I have shot probably 200 rounds between all of them.

I seem to have become more of a freaking storage facility than a gun owner who gets to go shooting once in a while.

    Anyone else feeling this way?

I have a Colt New Frontier SAA I haven't shot, but then again nobody else
    has either.

I just can't bring myself to put that "ring" around the cylinder yet(20yrs!).

Should sell it, but hey its a Colt.

I have been neglecting my reloading though, I should get on that now that
    the weather is cooler.

That's why I had been proactive on the matter, and have this year, shot many more of my guns.

I've got my list down to a Mosin Nagant 91/30, and an M44. I own two of the M44s, So shooting the other one doesn't seem that important. It is a Russian firearm, and I'm sure that will fire today, and long after I'm gone.

I still have a Remington 700 SPS Varmint in 308 which I didn't even opened the box yet among other guns that I don't really shoot much. Also have 1 rifle and 1 shotgun with our Governor's authograph on it that I haven't shot since his name was signed on them, about 12 years ago. Boy, what a beautifully engraved Perazzi shotgun he had!!!!

I've got lots that I've never shot, and lots that I have. Earlier this year, I started to whittle down some calibers to focus my collection a bit....

              Hmm.

An L1A1, an Enfield, a Webley revolver, several Mosins, and "approximately" (u-fix-em special...) two Israeli Mausers in 308.

Of course, if you were to ask how many I haven't shot this year... hoo boy.

The only rifle (gun for that matter) in my safe that I have not shot is my Savage/Stevens Fox B-Se SXS shotgun. I prefer the synthetic auto loaders for the pheasant fields and I just don't have much of a desire to shoot SXSs, but it came in a "6 pack" of rifles that I bought so there it sits.

I should at least try some trap with it...

None have survived, but until recently I had 2.

S&W 25-7 I bought new in 89 and didn't fire until last year. Now that I've shot it....WOW! Accurate and easy to shoot. Likes anything I cast or load.

1955 original year Remington 740 - 30-06. LN, no box. I had the stock fit to me and a Pachmayer decelerator butt pad installed and topped it off with a Nikon Buckmaster 3x9 w/BDC reticle. 12 years it sat in my safe without any love. I took it out last year and found it to choke on my bolt gun rounds - semi auto's don't like IMR 4350. I researched rounds for an M1 and bought some IMR 4064 powder and tried again - success!
                  Smooth shooting and hunting accurate - 2" @ 100 yards w/165g NBT.

I have shot every firearm that I own. I try to shoot any firearm I purchase as soon as possible. Normally I don't wait over a few days.

                        Ones I can remember:

                        204 ruger CZ bolt gun
                        41mag Marlin lever gun
                        '94 Winchester 30-30
                        7-08 Encore pistol
                        375 jdj Encore carbine
                        Keltec P32
                        half a dozen contender barrels
                        sako 222
7mag savage 110 (took it apart the day I got it home and never finished the project
1909 Argentine Mauser (took it apart and never finished the project)
6.5x55 Swede Mauser (started converting it to cock-on-open and never finished the project)

There are surely several more I forget.

And now I just remembered that I have at least 4 OLL AR recievers that have not been built up.
Also my Romy G build from a flat needs to be test fired before re-finishing...

Pre 1968 Walther PPK, Ruger 10-22 (I won it, but already had one), S&W M-66 2 1/2" (about 25 yrs old and new), S&W M-29's 4" and a 8 3/8" (both about 25 to 30 yrs old), CZ SP-01 (competition tuned backup gun for USPSA), Two registered AR-15's that just collect dust.

HAD a Shiloh Sharps 45-110........traded it though.....It was new & unfired!! I have an Ohio Ordnance 1918A3 BAR I traded it for it. Haven't fired a shot through it either.
