Where to shoot prone

Need recommendation (SF Bay area) on where I can go to shoot a rifle in the prone position. I had recently picked up shooting rifles. The 2 public ranges I frequent, Chabot and Livermore, does not seem to offer this option. Thanks.

You can shoot prone at the Sunnyvale range.

Metcalf does on the far left(so really only one position if I remember right, unless you want to shoot at a shot to hell piece of steel). Did you actually ask the range staff at chabot? Because I've done it there without issue.

You can, that's why I'm confused about the OP claiming you can't at chabot.

Metcalf on the other hand, that would be a nightmare to shoot prone under the bench(if you've seen their benches, you'd know why) plus they don't have the room on the line for anyone more than 5' tall anyway(that place is seriously cramped).

Try your luck at Sac Valley shooting Center this weekend.There will be a 3,5,6,800 yd match Sat.All prone!

I shoot prone on the public rifle line at Chabot every time I go there. The range safety officers don't even comment about it. There are always 2 or 3 guys shooting prone at Chabot.

I did not know you can do it at Chabot. The few times I was there, I did not notice any one doing it. Guess I should pay more attention. Thank you everyone for the recommendations.
