I have a question other day I was going through my files. Am I supposed to have some sort of paperwork to show I own my pistols,AR and shotgun?

My pistols has their DRO receipts but my AR and Shotgun is just two register receipts? I noticed my AR lower receiver and shotgun really receipts are starting to fade

There is no requirement to have or keep paperwork. It is very important to keep a file with make, model, and serial number at the very least.

You don't have to prove anything to anybody.

However, Condorgun's suggestion is very smart, even better if you have photos. I imagine keeping receipts would also be good for insurance purposes.

Thanks I'll probably have them scanned and saved. Some are starting to fade

Except to your insurance company in case of a loss. Receipts and pictures of weapons work best for that.
