While I don't know the answer to your question myself , my favorite FFL (San Jose gun trader) a home-based gun store uses Davidson's for some firearms he can't find locally.

I think they have a much better reputation than a lot of large wholesalers. (I haven't heard anything bad about them unlike some other big volume firearm wholesale names promising low low prices but then they get you with fees and surcharges.)

one other thing I've always liked about Davidsons is they offer a lifetime guarantee on anything that's purchased through them.
I don't know how strong it is and I don't know one that's anyone that's ever used it but it just says something about Davidson's commitment to a satisfied customer.
in fact if I was buying a gun that was from a brand new company or had questionable /reportedly bad customer service (like something made in China) I would prefer to purchase of that through at Davidson's than any other big wholesaler.

Davidson's is great - You won't always get the very best price through them, but they do have an internal lifetime warranty which I have used a couple of times and it was fantastic. Davidson's prices are generally the best when using "kitchen table" FFLs (who don't pay to carry inventory or to rent a shop, have employees, etc), but can get pretty high if you are purchasing from Davidson's using a brick-and-mortar gun shop as the transferring FFL.

Shipping speed is sometimes more impacted by your chosen FFL than it is by Davidson's. The FFL pays for shipping from Davidson's, and some will try to group at least a few guns together before they have Davidson's ship to them. This can cause a little delay in the process - Check with your chosen FFL before you buy so that there are no surprises.

You can just print out the davidson's price you want and bring it to your local gun shop. Ask them to meet/beat the out-the-door price of the lowest price in your area. Worth a shot.

Davidson's is fantastic. I've purchased literally dozens of guns through them in the last several years. I have also used their Lifetime Free Replacement Warranty without a problem, and had a new gun in my hands in less than 48 hours. Try that with any other gun shop. You can buy with confidence through Davidson's and you won't be sorry.

Actually you can start DROS before the shop gets the gun they are electronically sent the serial numbers. Yep it can shave two+ days off your 10 day wait time. I have done it three times myself.

I have used them twice on couple Dan Wessons. One firearm FFL received next day. The other within 2 days.

I've bought from them a couple of times my ffl actually recomended me to purchase from them cost was only ten bucks more and I got the Davidson lifetime warranty. Gun was also at my ffl within 2 days to start dros.
