The Radian Raptor Ambidextrous Charging Handle is a simple upgrade designed to significantly improve the functionality of your AR-15 rifle.

    ???

I just use a standard one with a larger latch, saves me about $50

That still just a ridiculous price for a charging handle though.

was hoping they would actually drop the price....

Yes, charging handles and triggers are a big profit item.

Well...get off your behind and go search yourself for the lowest price.
Then report back here with what you find.

BCM® AR15 charging handles were designed by those in real-world combat. Mod 3x3, Mod 4x4, Mod 3B, Mod 4B, and MK2 models are available. Shop now!

Id go with a BCM ($45) unless you REALLY need ambidexterous.

But, as above, Id just replace the latch on what you have

$120? It retails for only $10 more than the 556.

The cheapest I have ever seen the raptor is generally $20 off. So if you see it for less than $70 it won't get much better and you'll have to start comparing shipping costs.

If you guys don't shoot left handed you have absolutely no idea how much a Raptor helps. It continues to be the best ambi charging handle out there.

                      I think your mistaken,

I only remember the price because my friend told me the same thing you did when I was building my LR308, he said buy the raptor charging handle over BCM. I remember because I look and found nothing under $100 and sent him 3 links to 3 sites and him saying wtf! F that! He thought the same as you that they were only $70 tops. Their 5.56 ones are only $10 more than BCM, but their 308 is literally double that of the BCM.

                      5.56 -
                      Standard - $25
                      BCM - $50
                      Raptor - $60

                      308 -
                      Standard - $30
                      BCM $60
                      Raptor - $110

                        Are we not talking retail?
                        Retail on a 556 Raptor is $89.99
                        Retail on a 762 Raptor is $99.99

I have NEVER seen a 762 Raptor CH for more than the $99.99 retail price (unless some company had a custom run with their logo on it or something). That is the ONLY part of your post I am addressing.

The fact that the 556 Raptor frequently goes on sale for @70 means nothing when I said "$120? It retails for only $10 more than the 556."

Further, you seem even more confused. First you say the 762 Raptor is $120, then you post a link to Red Barn where it is $99, then in the price breakdown of your post you put $110.

I'm just throwing out ball park, factor in shipping, pricing sales, and depending where you buy tax.

I was in the market over a year ago. I'm just posting what I saw. I have no hate for the raptor. It's just freakin expensive. Cool. But expensive.

LOL. For comparison sake, isn't it obvious that you would remove variables such as shipping and tax. You can dance around what you said all you want, but 762 raptors aren't $120.

The fact of the matter is yes, the Raptors are among the, if not the most expensive, charging handle on the market. But it's arguably the best one. If you never shoot left handed its of little use to most people and the extra $30 (yes just 30 bucks!) over a BCM handle might be hard to swallow, especially if you have several AR's. Not all of mine have them, but the ones I shoot the most often or the ones I'd grab in an emergency certainty do.

What does this charging handle do over a $12 charging handle? Make you a sandwich?
