    2014 Ukrainian Revolution

Did it change any of your thoughts about how you'd realistically respond with your personal loadout of weapons, supplies, associations/groups?

Internet commando's abound on this website, but I think even I, if I'm being honest, having been in harm's way enough times for my liking, found it to be a good reality check...

If nothing else, it certainly was a good reminder at how powerful the populace can be, seeing how Viktor Yanukovych (then-president) was impeached, the constitution was re-instated, and democratic elections were held.

Liveleak had really good coverage of the actual battles/clashes that took place, and it seemed like small arms didn't play a HUGE part in dealing with APC's and embedded snipers. They certainly came into play for personal protection whilst storming certain building's, however, and as the riots in Ferguson can attest, there exists a strong need for quality gear to protect from civil unrest.

That tends to make me think less about long range shooting than I tend to do when I look at gun pics online, and more about quality reflex-type sights on my rifles, nice big night sights for my handguns, good shoes, quality first aid gear and trauma training, and a plan to have it on me as much as possible.

    Interested to hear your thoughts...

Best I would do would be a vehicle with good gas mileage and get as far away as possible.

My house is in the outskirts for that very reason. I honestly think it has buffered us from most of the goings-on in our general area. That and we keep a pretty low profile. No flashy cars, no obvious big money add-ons to our house, etc.
